When you launch your raffle, it becomes discover-able in two separate places: Your Raffle Page and your Organization Page.
How to Find My Raffle Page URL
If you look at the raffle card associated with your organization account, it will say " running raffle" in the bottom corner and invite you to "manage your raffle"... taking you to your Raffle Dashboard.
Look for the card that says "Share Raffle". There.. you will see links to share the raffle directly on your social media channels or to access a link (the far right button). Click the link button to copy the raffle link or email the link to someone by clicking the button.
This link takes people directly to your raffle page and is the best link to use whenever you share your raffle digitally.
There are times however, that it makes sense to use your Organization Page URL instead of your raffle page URL. We explain that further below.
How to Find My Organization Page URL
When in your All-in-One dashboard your organization account is located in the sidebar of the page. Under the Organization name you will see a "Visit Page" button. When you click it it will take you to your Organization Page. That is a public web page that we encourage you to customize by adding content about your organization. The URL for the page is in the navigation bar of your browser.
Sharing content with images and an explanation about who you are and what you do is a phenomenal way to gain some exposure for your cause while helping people connect to your raffle.
When you are running a live raffle, that page you will also show a raffle card linking to your live raffle page. Any visitor that clicks that link will be directed to the raffle page we outlined above.
When to Use the Organization Page URL to Share Your Raffle
So when would you use this page’s URL for people to find your raffle?
The URL for this page is much more “user friendly” if you have the need of advertising it verbally. For instance at an event if you wanted to make an announcement directing people to your raffle, this URL would be the one to share.
Take a look at it and you will see why. This URL is much easier to remember for someone hearing it. This is its basic form: www.fundingchange.ca/(your organization name).
Compared to the raffle page URL which has a jumble of numbers at the end of it, this URL is the one to share with an offline audience to give them an easier time finding your raffle.
